Senior Long Term Health Care Choices

Health Care Professional Publishes Book for Baby Boomers

Baby Boomers are expected to impact the US health care system for decades to come. A newly released report indicates the over-65 population will nearly triple by 2030, as 78 million boomers become senior citizens.

Fort Bragg, CA - July 10, 2007 -- "Boomers are just the beginning," notes Rich Umbdenstock, president of the American Hospital Association. "[They will change health care dramatically; [their mark will be lasting." The good news is that "boomers are focused on wellness and looking for new approaches to care." The bad news is that 6 out of 10 boomers will be dealing with more than 1 chronic condition by 2030.

According to health care professional Janet O'Connor, "Anyone over the age of 65 now has a 40% chance of entering a nursing home. More than 9 million people over the age of 65 will need
long-term care this year. By the year 2020, it will be 12 million."

Ms. O'Connor has published a 207-page
book for boomers -- Senior Long Term Care Choices: How To Select The Best Plan For Your Whole Family. It catalogues the full spectrum of available care, looks closely at resources, and provides essential information for making informed choices about long-term care.

What makes Ms. O'Connor's approach interesting is that she's
integrated web technology, allowing her to deliver constantly updated, leading-edge advice to her readers.

"The challenge," O'Connor explains, "was to provide up-to-the-minute information that could be immediately accessed and easily updated. Publishing online allowed me to take advantage of
internet technology. It's important to have easy access to the latest information and guidance when you're trying to set up effective long-term care."

According to Umbdenstock, boomers will be more active and focused on staying in their homes than previous generations. Senior Long Term Care Choices, provides detailed information that helps seniors
maintain their homes. The book offers step-by-step advice on how to manage independent living, reliable home caregivers and find the financial support necessary to sustain independence.

Senior health care is a
moving target. The changing demands of boomers along with new technology, will likely translate into new forms of care delivery. O'Connor's methodology is designed to keep pace with these changes. Senior Long Term Care Choices is downloadable and resource links are embedded in the text. As resources and information change, readers will receive free updates filled with new links and timely news.

O'Connor has 2 sites online: http://www.squidoo.com/care4elderly/ provides a
host of resources, and http://www.help4longtermcare.com offers many additional articles.

"Ideally," says O'Connor, "the sooner you begin a dialogue about long-term care with
your loved one and the rest of the family, the better. By broaching the subject in advance, you can make decisions as a family before you are forced by circumstances to decide in haste."

Mobile Phone Users Driven Insane: My Mobile Vault Seeks Affiliate Marketers to Restore Sanity and Mobile Phone Content

Distribution partners will profit while saving mobile phone subscribers' sanity.

Portsmouth, NH (PRWEB) November 27, 2007 -- My Mobile Vault, an innovative provider of mobile phone back-up and synchronisation services announces its search for affiliate marketers to distribute www.mymobilevault.com. My Mobile Vault saves mobile phone contact data and prevents the data being lost when replacing a mobile phone. Lou Altman, My Mobile Vault President said, "My Mobile Vault backs up phone contacts and appointments over the air (OTA) to a secure server. The contact list is then easily moved to the new mobile phone."

Backing up and transferring contacts is now done by connecting the mobile phone to a computer via cable. Mobile phone shops may also be able to move the data from the old phone to the new phone with a plug-in device. "Existing solutions are restricted," said Altman, "Either a one-time back-up at the shop, or via connection to a computer? As mobile lifestyles continue to dominate, neither solution is practical."

"Upgrade a phone and have one of two options: move the contact data or lose it," said Altman. "Now mobile subscribers will easily be able to move it." My Mobile Vault backs up the entire contact list, enabling easy transfer to the new phone. Clients go to www.mymobilevault.com, sign in and manage their contact data.

My Mobile Vault operates on Global System for Mobiles (GSM) networks and on hundreds of compatible phones so My Mobile Vault is specifically looking for affiliates to distribute throughout Europe, Asia and Australia.

Ghost Writer Helps Medium

Medium Writes Book With Help of Ghost

A medium claims to have written a book with the help of a ghost. Her story combines a supernatural thriller with actual events from the hard rock underground in the 1980's and 1990's. The book features various exciting characters such as vampires, angels and demons and deities from various pagan mythologies.

Boulder, CO (PRWEB) October 26, 2007 -- Lily Strange, a clairsentient medium, has released her first novel, Eternal Death I: Lost Beneath the Surface. Ms. Strange claims that she wrote the supernatural thriller in cooperation with a spirit that she befriended in the latter part of 2005.

Ms. Strange comes from a family with strong psychic tendencies. Her maternal great-grandfather saw spirits from his early childhood and knew when people were going to die. Ms. Strange, her mother and her aunt all have precognitive dreams and have all encountered spirits at various times in their lives.

Although Ms. Strange has had contact with spirits throughout her life, it was never her intent to write a book with one. Her original intent was simply to edit a story that she had written thirteen years previously as a metaphor for her deteriorating marriage.

"The original story wasn't very good," Ms. Strange says. "It was a two-dimensional Gothic romance. I believed that I could turn it into something more interesting."

Around August of 2005, Ms. Strange made contact with the spirit of a musician who had committed suicide. She befriended the lonely ghost and he took an interest in her project.

"He was flattered when I wanted to include him in a cameo role in the story," Strange says. "He had some helpful suggestions, and before we knew what had happened, we were writing together. Neither of us had any intention of him being my co-author. But his ideas were very impressive and he was happy to be able to create again. I think it has been a healing experience for both of us."

The result is an intriguing and complex novel that centers around a popular American writer named Terry Bruckham, her fiance Elvin Barris, a British blues-rock singer, and their friends and family members. Threatening the safety and happiness of not only this group of people but also the entire cosmos, is a megalomaniac vampire and the various dark powers that support his twisted desires. The book also features angels, demons, gods and goddesses from various mythologies, and intertwines true events from the hard rock underground of the 1980's and 1990's with a fantastic tale of supernatural terror.

To purchase a copy of Eternal Death I: Lost Beneath the Surface, visit http://www.lilystrange.com or http://www.outskirtspress.com/lilystrange. The book can also be purchased through http://www.amazon.com or http://www.barnesandnoble.com

Half of the proceeds from the book will be donated to the mental health and substance abuse division of the World Health Organization.
