The US Drug Watchdog is calling for national consumer alert related to the denture creams Fixodent and Super Poligrip. The group is saying "we are warning all US consumers of these denture cream products, because of concerns that both products may cause zinc poisoning. How much zinc poisoning? We are talking about more than 10 times the amount of zinc a human should have in their body." About 35 million people in the US use denture creams to keep their dentures in place. Many of them may not be aware that some of the physical symptoms they are experiencing are signs of neuropathy.
